Domain Disgorgement
A legal outcome for dealing with copyright theft pioneered by SPN's founders. Copyright thieves often use their stolen content to obtain search engine placement and other valuable links. Even if they cease and desist using the stolen content, the domain on which it is placed has obtained highly valuable link equity on the basis of the stolen material. The only truly adequate remedy is for the domain to be transferred ("disgorged") back to the source of that link equity, which is the lawful copyright owner.
