P2P
Peer-to-peer. This type of software allows users to share files directly from one computer to another. Although P2P is a legitimate technology with many useful applications, P2P's most notorious role has been the enabler of illegal song-swapping. Current P2P ventures include Grokster, iMesh, Blubster, KaZaA and Morpheus.
